Why Support Us Restore Ireland, Northern Ireland, Brazil and Beyond?
The ecological crisis caused by deforestation in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Brazil, and across the globe reflects the interconnected social, environmental, and economic struggles faced by many nations. Habitat loss and ecosystem degradation are driving the sixth mass extinction. From the rainforests of the Amazon to the forests of Southeast Asia and the grasslands of Africa, ecosystems are under severe threat. The need for global restoration and regeneration has never been more urgent.
We encourage you to explore Google Earth and witness the state of ecosystems worldwide with your own eyes. Over 50%—if not more—of the planet's soil has been degraded, and wildlife and human communities are struggling in every corner of the globe.
This pattern of ecological degradation is widespread. Over 90% of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil has been lost, and countless other regions face similar crises, from disappearing rainforests to vanishing grasslands and wetlands.

Why Restore Ireland & Northern Ireland and Beyond?
Irish & Northern Irish landscapes have faced centuries of deforestation, agricultural intensification, and urbanisation, leaving large areas degraded. Today, only 11% of Ireland and around 8% of Northern Ireland are forested.
This pattern of ecological degradation is mirrored globally. Over 90% of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil has been lost, and countless other countries face similar crises, from disappearing rainforests to vanishing grasslands and wetlands.

Deforestation and environmental exploitation have reshaped our planet, leaving scars across continents. In Brazil, over 90% of the Atlantic Forest has already been destroyed, and the Amazon—one of the world's most vital ecosystems—is rapidly heading toward the same fate. Driven by conventional agriculture, mining, and unsustainable development, this devastation not only threatens biodiversity but also disrupts global climate systems. This pattern of destruction is not isolated to Brazil. Across Europe, centuries of deforestation have stripped countries like Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Britain of their natural forests, leaving degraded landscapes and fragile ecosystems. In Egypt, desertification has intensified as water sources shrink, and in Australia, deforestation for grazing and logging continues to endanger unique wildlife and ancient habitats.
What We Want to Do

🌍 Why Support Ireland & Northern Ireland?
Deforestation in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and across the globe highlights the urgent environmental, social, and economic challenges we face today. These degraded landscapes threaten biodiversity, climate stability, and the well-being of communities.
At the moment, we are currently raising funds to restore countless acres of degraded areas in the Emerald Isle. Our first goal for rural areas is to reclaim 5+ hectares of degraded agricultural land to establish the first Caring Without Borders hub—an innovative model of regeneration that will inspire similar efforts worldwide. Here is what we will do when we reach our target:

Our world is in a global crisis, demanding a paradigm shift. Countries like Ireland and Brazil have suffered from ecological degradation—over 90% of the Atlantic forest in Brazil has been degraded, with Ireland/Northern Ireland facing similar threats to its ecosystems. Caring Without Borders is stepping up to help reverse this damage by regenerating over 5 hectares of degraded agricultural land in each country. These will become our first community hubs, spreading regenerative practices and creating healthier ecosystems. By supporting our mission through the purchase of t-shirts, honey, and other products, you are joining a global movement for a sustainable future.

As a community interest company, we rely on the sale of our merchandise and the generous donations of supporters like you. Together, we can create a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
Degraded Lands Available For Restoration
Here's how we plan to make a lasting impact:
How Our Hub Will Work
-
The hub will be open to the public, offering a space where anyone can explore nature and learn about regenerative practices at their own pace.
-
We will host regular workshops, tours, and hands-on activities designed for schools, families, and individuals. These educational sessions will dive into sustainability, regenerative practices, and ecosystem restoration, offering participants valuable insights.
-
In collaboration with universities, environmental groups, and local organisations, the hub will serve as a center for research on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity, and regenerative agriculture, helping to push forward new discoveries in sustainability.
-
The local community will play a key role in shaping the hub. From planting trees and crops to co-managing spaces, this hub will be a living, evolving space that belongs to everyone. Together, we will foster a sense of ownership, responsibility, and shared purpose.
Join us in transforming degraded lands, neglected parks, and alleyways into thriving ecosystems that benefit both nature and communities. Our mission extends beyond Ireland and Northern Ireland, as we aim to replicate these efforts in Brazil and other regions worldwide. Whether you partner with us, purchase our products, donate, volunteer, or sponsor a section of land, your support directly drives the regeneration of both urban and rural spaces.

Why Regenerate Ireland & Northern Ireland?
Ireland/Northern Ireland landscapes have faced centuries of deforestation, agricultural intensification, and urbanisation, leaving large areas degraded. Today, only 11% of Ireland and around 8% of Northern Ireland are forested.
With a combined land area of 7,027,300 hectares in Ireland and 1,414,800 hectares in Northern Ireland, there are vast opportunities for restoration in certain areas. This includes abandoned farmlands, deforested woodlands, and drained peatlands, as well as overlooked public spaces like parks, alleyways, and urban green spaces. These specific areas hold the potential to be transformed into thriving ecosystems that support biodiversity, community development, and environmental resilience, enhancing both rural and urban by making nature more accessible.
🌍 Our Wish 🌿
At Caring Without Borders, our mission is to restore and protect the ecosystems that sustain us—from the tiniest seeds to the tallest trees. We invite you to support this mission in any way you can—whether by sponsoring land for restoration, donating plants, seeds, tools, or funds, or by hiring our services, purchasing our products, or volunteering. Every action brings us closer to a healthier, more regenerative planet.
Let us know how you'd like to contribute, and we’ll show you the impact your support will make.

A Global Crisis of Deforestation and Degradation
The Aral Sea, once one of the world's largest inland water bodies, has nearly disappeared due to unsustainable agricultural practices, symbolising the catastrophic consequences of exploiting natural resources without regard for regeneration.
From the rainforests of Southeast Asia to the grasslands of Africa and beyond, the story is the same: ecosystems sacrificed for short-term gain, leaving communities and wildlife to bear the cost.
This is a global crisis that demands immediate action. To combat these interconnected challenges, we must shift away from destructive practices toward a regenerative approach—restoring degraded lands, preserving existing ecosystems, and promoting sustainable practices that benefit both people and the planet.
The time for global restoration and regeneration is now. Together, we can work to heal the planet and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
We want to support local initiatives
In recent years Northern Ireland has faced varied social, economic, and environmental challenges:
Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in the British Isles, has been blighted by increasing water pollution and toxic algae blooms.
Invasive species such as Himalayan balsam and zebra mussels threaten our native biodiversity.
Ongoing trends of urban air pollution and high particulate emissions which have immediate and long lasting health effects.
Intensification of agricultural land use and subsequent soil degradation.
We all deserve better.
