Creating a Regenerative Hub for Brazil
A Space for Preservation, Education, and Growth
This page is still in work, but you can watch a short video we have created to present what we have been doing in Brazil.
At Caring Without Borders, our initial goal is to reclaim 10 hectares of degraded land in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Focusing on areas that have been deforested, over-farmed, or abandoned, we will transform them into vibrant ecosystems that support both biodiversity and regenerative community development.
But weโre not just reclaiming landโweโre creating a living hub where people, nature, and communities can thrive together.
This 10-hectare regenerative hub will serve as a center for preservation, education, research, leisure, and economic growth. This hub will be open to everyoneโa space where nature, learning, and community come together for the betterment of our planet.

Why This Hub Matters
Deforestation in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and across the globe reflects the interconnected environmental, social, and economic challenges we face. Hereโs is what we aim to do:
How the Hub Will Work
-
The hub will be open to the public, offering a space where anyone can explore nature and learn about the regeneration process at their own pace. Monthly supporters will enjoy free access, while a small entrance fee will apply to the general public, helping to fund ongoing restoration efforts.
-
We will host regular workshops, tours, and hands-on activities designed for schools, families, and individuals. These educational sessions will dive into sustainability, regenerative practices, and ecosystem restoration, offering participants valuable insights.
-
In collaboration with universities, environmental groups, and local organisations, the hub will serve as a center for research on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity, and regenerative agriculture, helping to push forward new discoveries in sustainability.
-
The local community will play a key role in shaping the hub. From planting trees and crops to co-managing spaces, this hub will be a living, evolving space that belongs to everyone. Together, we will foster a sense of ownership, responsibility, and shared purpose.
The Impact
This regenerative hub will not only heal the land but also enrich the community and foster a culture of socio-environmental-economic stewardship. By turning degraded land into a thriving space for education, preservation, and economic growth, we can create a model that can be replicated across the globe.
Join us in this exciting journey to transform 10 hectares of degraded land into thriving ecosystems that benefit both nature and the wider community.

Scientific Curiosities
Restoration Potential Across Ireland and Northern Ireland
The Emerald Isleโs landscapes have suffered centuries of deforestation, agricultural intensification, and urbanisation, leaving much of the land degraded. Today, only 11% of Ireland and 8% of Northern Ireland are forested.
With a total land area of 7,027,300 hectares in Ireland and 1,414,800 hectares in Northern Ireland, there is vast potential for restoration. Approximately 7.5 million hectares of non-forested land remains across both regions, ready for regeneration. This includes abandoned farmlands, deforested woodlands, and drained peatlands, all of which can be transformed into thriving ecosystems that support biodiversity, community development, and environmental resilience.
