Restoring Brazil's Ecosystems
Our initiatives started with our partnership with the amazing Prof. Luciana Marçon at Urbano School. We began with enthusiasm—educating students and creating vibrant permaculture designs. However, increasing demands and challenges have paused our efforts.
Unwavering Commitment: Despite these hurdles, my dedication remains strong. We're ready to expand our work as soon as we secure the necessary support. Our goal transcends the school partnership; we aim to revitalise the wider Taubaté area and beyond.
We embarked on a volunteer journey with Urbano School of awareness, exploring the existing space and identifying opportunities to create a sustainable and educational environment. We delve into the importance of the Paraíba do Sul River for the region and the negative impact of conventional agriculture and other exploratory human activities while bringing awareness of the four fundamental basic human needs and their interconnection. We talked about the importance of working for a common goal of clean air, access to clean water/healthy food, regular exercise, and caring for ourselves and the environment.
Progress and Pause: Our journey began with vibrant enthusiasm, educating and engaging students in active restoration efforts. We have been creating a beautiful permaculture design and have so much more to restore, but I, Rafael Araujo, the founder of Caring Without Borders had to pause due to increasing demands and workload, my commitment and dedication remains unwavering. We are poised to resume and expand our efforts as soon as we secure the necessary funding and professional support as the work offered for the school was on a volunteer basis. If we are not able to partner with the school again we still invite you to revitalise the city of Taubaté and beyond.
